India vs South Africa, 3rd T20I Predicted Playing XI: India to stick with experienced players in their must-win match

India are likely to stick with experienced campaigners in their must-win third T20I match against South Africa in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday (June 14).

The Men in Blue’s 12-match winning streak came to an end in the opening and high-scoring game against the Proteas in Delhi. India put up a good show with the bat, but their bowlers let them down as South Africa gunned down 211. Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller’s blitz made a mockery of Rishabh Pant-led India.

In the second match in Cuttack, the Indian batting unit collapsed while the bowlers did well. India posted a below-par score of 148/6, which South Africa once again chased down thanks to Heinrich Klaasen. Bhuvneshwar Kumar stood out for India, taking four wickets and conceding only 13 runs.

On a pitch that favours spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal was hammered for 49 runs. Although there are players who are pushing for selection in the lineup, the Indian think-tank don’t believe in too many changes and want to continue giving players as much game time as possible with the T20 World Cup looming in October.

South Africa, on the other hand, tried out different combinations in the first two matches. The gamble is not only giving players an equal opportunity, but is helping them find their best combination for the upcoming global event in Australia.

India’s predicted playing XI: Ishan Kishan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (c/wk), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan.

South Africa’s predicted playing XI: Temba Bavuma (c), Reeza Hendricks, Dwaine Pretorius, Rassie van der Dussen, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), David Miller, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi.
