Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan, on June 14, shared a video where his niece can be seen cheering for him after he took a wicket. On Tuesday, Rashid took part in the third and final T20I against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club and picked up the wicket of Luke Jongwe.
In fact, the tweaker finished with stupendous bowling figures of 4-0-8-1 with as many as 17 dot balls. In the video, Rashid’s niece can be seen watching his uncle play. After Rashid castled the batter, his niece raised her hands up in the air and cheered loudly.
Rashid, in the meantime, captioned the video and wrote, “This is how my niece Haseeena Celebrate my each wkt.”
Rashid’s efforts in the game didn’t go in vain as the Afghans defeated Zimbabwe by 35 runs and completed a 3-0 series whitewash. Rashid was third in the list of leading wicket-takers in the series, having picked up four scalps from three games at an economy rate of 5.08.
Earlier, Rashid was among the standout bowlers in the three-match ODI series after he picked up seven wickets at an excellent economy rate of 4.52. During the first ODI, the youngster also scored an unbeaten 17-ball 39 with the help of four fours and two sixes.
Back in May, Rashid was a part of the Gujarat Titans, who won the Indian Premier League (IPL) in their maiden appearance in 2022. The leg-spinner played a key role for the team, led by Hardik Pandya, as he performed with both bat and ball.
